What car is it then?

The basic donor for the kit is the Ford Sierra.
The engine required is the Ford Pinto 1.6, 1.8 or 2.0 litre engine.
There are options available from RHE for the DOHC and Injection Models.

Which models fit the bill?

Now this is where it starts getting difficult. There doesn't seem to be a definitive list of Sierra models and the engine used. If anyone has such a list let me know and I'll add it to the page - this information would be very useful for RHE builders. The rule of thumb is a non-injection model registered before 1989 (F) will be a Weber carb Pinto engine. When you view the engine make sure the exhaust manifold is on the driver's side.

Alright Sparky, which one did you get?

After a few months looking for the right car I stumbled across the advert for a Sierra 2.0 LX 'F' Reg. A quick drive into Southampton and a once-over the car, confirmed it was the right car and the engine was quite strong for just under 100k on the clock. The rest of the car was clean and reasonably solid. After a small amount of haggling I left with the car and £160 lighter. The driver for the trip home was my mate Jon (you'll hear more from him), who then took my Dolomite with him to help his own little projects.

Can I have a look then?
